He won't put it down.
My husband is a history buff and I bought him your first book for Christmas. He absolutely loved it -- and would often stop me from whatever I was doing to read a passage out loud.Gave it to: husbandFacebook comment · Feb 2026

Will it arrive in time?
Orders are usually mailed within 3 business days, then 5 to 8 business days in transit. Delivery dates are not guaranteed, and the store's policy notes that orders placed after December 15 are unlikely to arrive by Christmas Eve. If it will be late, print the "A gift for you" card for the day.
He's read a lot about the war. Will this be new?
Almost certainly. These are the veterans' own accounts, recorded over thirty years.
Is it right for a teenager?
Matthew suggests 14 and up. The veterans describe combat honestly and some swear.
Will he see the price?
No. Prices are never on the packing slip.
Can I return it?
Within 14 days of delivery, in resalable condition, after emailing for a return authorization. Refunds are less shipping, a 3 percent bank fee, and up to a 10 percent restocking charge.
