The Things Our Fathers Saw

I started reading the series five days ago, and I'm halfway through the fourth book. I can hardly put them down.

Do you have a way to look up the service record of men who were in the service? I've been working on a friend of the family for years but can find so little about him. I know what my Dad told me about him, and am so anxious to find out about his contribution to WW2. Ed VanEvery. He was a waist gunner on a B-17 I think. I might have a few details crossed, but 70-some sorties in the Pacific theater, and 90-some in the European theater. He was on one of the three planes that picked up MacArthur. was shot down a couple times(?). And in a POW camp.

Very important book

Second to the Bible, this is the most moving book I’ve listened to.

Easy to listen to during walks in the woods with my fog. Much better than reading.
